1992 Klein Attitude MC1- Small- Klein Death Grip Tires
Mission Control Factory Original Candy Blue
Full Shimano drivetrain – Kore QRL
Vintage US retro classic Fat Tube Attitude
Please view all 73 pictures closely, she looks much better in person as I am no expert with a digital camera and Klein finishes are challenging to capture in their full glory.
This is an late production 1992 MC1 Attitude, as Candy Blue was first offered in 1993 , so she is a bit of a rare Klein as even still has the Original “Pat Pending” KLEIN CHAIN CONTROL DEVICE (later Klein’s had the Patent Numbers)
This 1992 Candy Blue MC1 Attitude is from an era when Klein took 28 days to hand make each bike! Beautiful Candy Blue color!
These early Klein Bikes are so unique in the cycling world as Klein not only made the frame inhouse but also made the MC1 Mission Control Bar/Stem and special fork tube inhouse. along with internal cable routing and pressed in boxed bottom bracket, made for a very stiff and maneuverable ride. ( it is said when you roll over a Nickel with the MC1 Klein you can tell if it is heads or tails) Think predictable – Porsche Cayan turbo preperformance and handling. many a racer made their mark on an MC1 Attitude, on the way to the top podium, including Tinker racing on his #13 Attitude
RACE BRED
“Light, Fast, Rigid, Energy Efficient The Race Bred MC1 Attitude makes an excellent retro rider.
Handmade in 1993 Chehalis, Washington, she has been well kept by its one original California owner.
Hand made in USA, 24 pounds Retro Racer
“Gary Klein did not manufacture bicycles he was an artist that painted in Aluminum”
“Klein Bicycles – Different, Rare, built to last a lifetime”.
Hand Made in Chehalis, Washington, USA
Beautiful early 1992 pre-trek Attitude in Candy Blue has nearly none of the terrible UV sun fade. And none of the paint bubbling that many early Klein’s suffer from, frame has no rust, no cracks, or repairs
Vintage Fat Tube Attitude
Rolling Art
See How COOL a vintage Mountain Bike can be
Hand crafted in the original Klein Factory Chehalis, Washington. notice the extra fat steer tube – it was specially made to fit with Klein’s extra-stiff and light Mission Control MC1 bar Stem.
Full Klein Internal cable routing
And please notice how the brake and shift cables go thru the frame and not on the outside, a classic patented Klein trademark that not only looks better but performs better too. And see how the rear frame the tubing goes from square to round; Gary Klein first developed this concept in 1973 as part of an aluminum bicycle project at MIT.
“She Float’s like a butterfly and stings like a bee”
I have taken the nimble MC1 attitude out for a quick ride around my local (paved) roads here , she tracks straight, shifts like a fine Swiss watch, and being so light pulls up hills like a frighten mountain goat
24# LIGHT & NIMBLE
This Bike corners like she on rails, has incredible Adroit precision steering, you will climb hills like your 16 again
You will love riding your Attitude and your biking friends will be so envious. She is ready to hit the trail. And proudly display. you and your friends will be pleasantly surprised when you take your first ride and you leave them eating your dust
If you want one of the coolest vintage American MTB with the most known Kleinpaint that you won’t meet on the trail or street and has over the top performance this is it.
