Brief history of Markus Storck & Klein Team Storck
Markus Storck launched the MC1 Attitude “Team Stork” after his contract termination with Klein bicycles in 1990 due to its acquisition by Trek bicycles, this led to the development of his own bicycle and component production, the “Team Stork”- Kleins were hugely sought out by international buyers but were also very expensive. Few if any made it back to the USA and if they did most were beat up from hardcore racing. Markus Storck went on to design his own brand of bikes rebranding of his Storck Bike-tech co. Markus Storck’s innovations using Vacuum Void Controlled production technology allowed him to reduce the resin content of the high-grade carbon bicycle frames by a third, allowing his future designs to have lighter, stiffer frames, while maintaining comfort and stability this innovated Carbon Fiber lead to contract work for the epic Mclaren F1 racing team.
In 1990, together with his friend Erich Reiss, Storck founded the Eurobike show, Eurobike is considered the world’s largest bicycle trade show with more than 1,000 vendors
Please view all 100 pictures closely, she looks much better in person as I am no expert with a digital camera and Klein tri color finishes are challenging to capture in their full glory.
This is an Export production 1992 MC1 Attitude. (Fitted with the export Metal Klein head badge)
This Stork Racer MC1 Attitude is from an era when Klein took 28 days to hand make each bike! Beautiful Stork Racing Magenta, Purple, Green colors. these Bikes are so unique in cycle world as Klein not only made the frame inhouse but also made the MC1 Mission Control Bar/Stem inhouse. along with internal cable routing and pressed in boxed bottom bracket, made for a very stiff and maneuverable ride. Think predictable nimble 911 turbo preperformance and handling. many a racer made their mark on an Attitude on the way to the top podium, including Tinker racing on his #13 Attitude

See How COOL a vintage Mountain Bike can be
Hand crafted in the original Klein Factory Chehalis, Washington. notice the extra fat steer tube – it was specially made to fit with Klein’s extra-stiff and light Mission Control MC1 bar Stem,& Rock Shox Mag 21 Magnesium Fork. (Works as new)
Full Klein Internal cable routing
And please notice how the brake and shift cables go thru the frame and not on the outside, a classic patented Klein trademark that not only looks better but performs better too adding to a stiffer chassis And see how the rear frame the tubing goes from square to round; Gary Klein first developed this concept in 1973 as part of an aluminum bicycle project at MIT.
